If i was going to do a flight around the world, what would be some tips i should know?
My advice is:
- Pick The 747-8 Full Fuel, no PAX/CARGO
- Expect to make stops
- Fly North Pole to south pole and back for a shorter flight.
Fuel up every stop, and just have fun
I am currently doing one and on my last leg I did EGLL-VHHH VHHH-KSFO and to finish it if I am doing KSFO-EGLL all about 10-11 hours flights
First off, I love your profile pic, and second, I like the 747-8 but I was going to pick the 777-200LR because it’s smaller and has amazing range. My plan is to fly from my home airport of dfw and go all the around the world back to dfw whatever day that is.
What plane did you use??
I used the b787-9 the first trip with virgin Atlantic and then united airlines with the last one and I am about to do the last one with a BA 747
That’s pretty neat !
How many days has it taken you?
Or I might do the last flight with the virgin Atlantic b787-9 as it’s a real world flight to end it all
I started Friday night to Saturday morning I did the first flight then Saturday night to Sunday morning
But i can’t do the last leg today because I have school tmr and I have to wake up early 😢
That’s nice! I’m hoping to do DFW-EGLL-RJAA-DFW. Or I could make it even longer and do DFW-EGLL-YPPH-YSSY-DFW. I feel like my phone would explode if I did the last option 😂
Ooof that’s tuff
its hot, i know. and the reason i pick 747-8, is because on full fuel you can get almost 24 hours straight
So that’s 1 fuel stop only :O
