I’m planning on getting live soon and I’m wondering if anybody has any tips for me going into it. I know about violations and stuff, but I’m just a little nervous about being able to use ATC/Unicom well. Wish me luck!
Hi Adam, Using live is easy, and just a graduation from solo mode. Use what you learnt on Solo and have a play around on the Casual and Training Servers; build up your hours and XPs with some Touch + Go’s and you’ll be fine.
Ive also attached a video you may find useful regarding the use of ATC:
If you find that helps Mark Denton, a Dev over at Flight Studios often posts other helpful tutorial videos on the offical Infinite Flight channel, Check them out:
Failing that, drop me or another ‘regular’ a message on here if you find yourself stuck and someone will get back to you for sure!
Begin on Casual. Get the grasp of dealing with unicom. Then move over to the training server to get familiar with ATC. bear in mind, you cannot expect a good service from ATC on the training server. Then finally, when you are comfertable, go to Expert server…
While you’re doing this, watch all the tutorial FDS has put up on their Youtube channel. They are really helpful!
Finally, don’t hesitate to ask. PM me if you are wondering about a command, or what to do when. :)
Have fun!!
First fly on the Casual server and learn Unicom (no violations). Then once you feel that you are better switch to TS1 Training Server 1(violations, no ghosting) This is where you will complete most of your flights. Lastly as you gain XP and flight time you will go to Expert (grade 3 or up), Expert has ghosting & Violations.
Hope to see you on there soon!
I suggest first going through all the commands and finding out when they are used. After that it’s all about practice, the more you fly the easier it will get. You can also PM me if you have a question
Don’t be a peanut. All I got to say.
Thanks everyone!

You don’t have to complete this basic quiz but if you don’t know something please ask as many people new to Live don’t and thats understandable, but you will need to learn, thanks
