Any planespotting requests?

Note: This list is incomplete.

Title says it all.

Interested in knowing if anyone out there has requests so I can make sure to try and

  1. Get a photo of one and/or
  2. Find you a photo of one that I have not uploaded or posted on the forums.

What about an Etihad A380?

Norwegian 787-8.

B-KPL for Cathay Pacific

@HV9690 Sorry I only have B-KPK and B-KPG

@Henrik_B Etihad A380-800 doesn’t fly to JFK (It will later this year or next year IIRC) and the Norwegian 787-8s arrive after dark nowadays so I’d have to wait for a schedule change or for next summer (8 PMish arrival, sunset now at 7:40ish).

@masonh2479, @AF330, @benny1263 pls. check your PM boxes.

No way… B-KPL always flies into JFK in CX888/840
CX888 today is B-KPL, if you miss it try CX841 to HKG

B-KPL left JFK a couple hours ago

I Hope I can See Garuda can fly to JFK. But Sadly, U.S Authority Banned all of Indonesian carriers and I Think CGK - JFK isnt a Profitable route for Garuda 😢. Sorry for OOT

Would absolutely love to see Garuda. I cannot comment on the O&D traffic between the Jakarta and JFK but I can imagine the tropical Indonesia would be a huge hit with the more lavish vacationers and honeymooners. Not sure if Indonesians have a desire to fly to the USA but that could work.

Does Garuda already fly to LAX and/or SFO?

Businessmen could use the route also.

Arik Air in New York

Sorry not possible. Arik Air arrives when it’s dark out and I can’t photgraph takeoffs.

If you want an A340-500 photo I have an Emirates one and I’mtrying to get Azerbaijan one next week

Not yet (SFO/LAX) since U.S Authority still bans Indonesian Air Carriers. But Boeing said that they would help Garuda to Improve Indonesia’s Carriers Track Record so Garuda could make a Route to LAX or JFK

Not sure if Indonesians want to visit U.S since it would be very Expensive to Indonesians Especially on This Economic Crisis (1 Dollar for Rp. 13.850 Rupiah) but idk if Americans want to visit Indonesia since Garuda's Last Experiment (By opening a route to London Gatwick) was fail and Garuda already changed the route to Stopover route (LGW-AMS-CGK) and soon (LGW-AMS-SIN-CGK). But I Think they would close the route soon. For LAX/JFK Route, They are Considering the Possibility now. FYI, All of Garuda's B77W would have to Transfer at Singapore since AP2 is planning to Downgrading the PCN of CGK's Runway

Garuda only appeared once (not once but maybe hardly-ever) on JFK (2009-Present)… The Old Route which Exist till '98 was closed due to Low Passenger Traffic and Economic Crisis. (It’s an A332 on the Picture)

I really hope it comes back as a 787-9 or an A350-900. That would make my day 😍.

But apparently the Indonesian Gov’t wants Garuda to cancel those orders because the 77W routes are bleeding money?
