Yes, they didn’t get time to expand it much as it collapsed :-( the same as a few other Australian airlines as well

It’s real sad. And especially sad to hear Ansett went bankrupt. It was quite unfortunate they operated so many types of aircraft and the Australian Government wanted all the money to themself.

I heard one of these 744s have ever experienced an incident in Sydney, Is that true?

That was a 747-300. The nose gear wasn’t extending.

Bumping due to the voting feature. The 747-400 in IF would be complete with this livery IMO. I’d love to fly it, seeing as Ansett was a great airline and it had a beautiful logo. I’d fly this Sydney to Kai Tak in Global (which was a real route operated by this exact aircraft).
