Anchorage Center?

So I was flying grade two from PAPG to PAJN, and the anchorage center was online, but I could not tune into the center. My theory is that because the controller was based out of EGLL, I could not tune into it because I was too far Away I was flying at 18,000FT So I’m not sure what is happening could I get some clarification.

You have to be at least 405nm from the airport where the center is being controlled

The issue with Anchorage Center being controllable from Heathrow is a known one:

Remove anchorage centre for Heathrow controllers

Yes thanks it’s kind of annoying when you are in the area and there is not atc service. I hope the devs ameand it.
