An unusual day at LAX

I’ve flown into Los Angeles, CA :palm_tree::camera_with_flash: many times by now, although today was slightly different compared to the rest. Does anybody know why? It’s pretty obvious but the first reply with the correct answer will win a pet gator :crocodile:

American Airlines Boeing 777-200ER on short final to LAX after a cross country trip from MIA. Notice anything different about this landing compared to any other LAX landing?

This was first time experiencing LAX reverse ops and I gotta say, it was quite fun flying in this way compared to the tradition straight in when flying from the east

I am an LA native and everytime reverse ops happens it messes my brain up haha. Our climate is so temperate here, that I have to remind myself how to fly the SIDs off of the 6s and 7s because I am unfamiliar with them lmao.

Was flying back to Denver from Honolulu last month and when we passed over LA they were doing reverse ops. More common in early morning 4-6am ish
