American flight 2590

American Airlines flight 2590 was a scheduled passenger flight from Los angles to New York JFK. When the aircraft was taking off from lax the it lost 50% of thrust. The experienced crew were able to safely land at Santa Monica and 27 of the 121 people were injured in emergency landing.

The aircraft was an American Airlines Airbus A321 and was 15 years old when the accident occurred.

It wouldn’t be 15 years old. The new AA livery was made in 2013! Unless it got repainted!

I think its pretty obvious that it would be repainted. Why would an airline retire all its aircraft for the same aircraft with a new paintjob?

American Flight 2591 Was a scheduled flight from KJFK-KCLT. It was piloted by Sully and experienced a bird strike on takeoff. the aircraft ditched in the Hudson river. 10 people drowned and 126 people survived. 56 were injured and 4 of those died in hospital in the following days
