Great trip report! Personally, I find the CRJ-200 underrated, but then again people call it Satan’s chariot…oh well.

It’s a perfectly good airframe if you configure it as a business jet in the form of the Challenger 850, or if you max out at 5’5". For someone who’s 1’1" taller than that, it’s a very uncomfortable ride for any appreciable length of time.

I’m quite tall, but for me, what makes it underrated is that (excluding the airframe itself), most airlines put the same amenities to other regional jets to the -200; it does lack a premium cabin (although I usually don’t invest in premium cabins for flights less than an hour), but apart from that its lines are quickest, deboarding is rapid and the line to the bathroom is always negligible.
True, there’s that. It’s just that the frame for the seatback pockets is right in my knees and the windows are almost at sternum level for me, which makes it a bit claustrophobic.
