What is it with American airlines? Everytime a new aircraft joins the fleet, a new interior will be installed. The latest cabin was probably fitted 1-2 years ago with the B77W and 787-8 and now they are switching it up again. No concistency IMHO.
The new business class that was launched on the 77Ws has had to be dropped as the seat manufacturer had problems producing them on time, so AA ended up ditching Zodiac and having to come up with this similar design with another manufacturer.
Anyway, you are right in that in means inconsistency for many years to come.
That explains it. It just sucks as a costumer if you can’t rely on the product you’re expecting and what you actually get if aircraft changes.
I don’t care because I’ll never afford it.
