I am taking a trip to Anchorage this summer with AA, and I have a question for you guys. So for my DFW - ANC leg, the website notes that there is Live TV onboard. However, I have looked at every AA A321neo review I could find, none of which had IFE’s on board. My question is do some A321neos have IFE’s, and if so, is the website actually telling me there are IFE’s on board? Here is a reference picture:
I don’t frequently fly with American, but from experience flying on A321neos, the IFE option depends on the airline. The seats can be fitted with them if the airline does so. I’d go ahead and take AA’s word on it, let me know how it turns out!
Also, the 737-800 doesn’t contain any IFE either. (It goes for the a321 to, because of the new project oasis that was officially installed all a321,737-800 American Airlines aircraft!
Hello there @LongHaulGuy! I frequently fly on American. After Covid hit. They removed the IFE from the 737-800 and NEO’s. Hope you enjoy your flights! They still have Apple Music and free entertainment onboard!
I know it’s such a shame I actually liked the IFE screens in Americans fleet maybe they’ll bring them back in a few years After they realize it was a bad idea
Only some of them, all legacy a319 (ones from US airways) do not. The ones with winglets do that often operate longer routes or leisure routes like key west and bogota.
