This Convair 990-30-A5 was accepted by American Airlines on June 23, 1962.
On October 19, 1968, the aircraft, now registered OD-AEW, was acquired by Lebanese International Aiways. Echo Whiskey was destroyed in the Israeli commando attack on Beirut on December 28, 1968.
