I was recently on a American airlines flight and the safety card had A319EOW on it

I wanted to know what the EOW mean

May I ask - why is that a big deal?

I wanted to know what do the EOW mean

‘Extended Over Water’. A google search told me that.

EOW stands for “Extended Over Water”. I believe it is similar to ETOPS, but I do not know what the difference is exactly.

It means Extended Over Water, it is equipped with all necessary equipment to go over water for extended periods of time.

I think @TY_Play knows… He has been told 3 times. Please read people post before posting for the sake of it. Thanks
