American Airlines A319-132 (No Sharklets)

Hello IFC, today I am making a request for the American Airlines A319 WITHOUT the sharklets.

But we already have the A319 (SL)

Although American Airlines’ (AA) addition of the A319 (SL) was an important step to being a more efficient airline. These aircraft make up less than ⅓ of AA’s A319 fleet. (This is an estimate as I could not find the exact numbers)

Currently the A319-132 is a very important part of AA’s fleet and it will still befor the next few years before American starts retiring these aircraft (😭)

The history

On July 23, 2013, AA acquired their first A319 making history. Throughout AA’s mergers and acquisitions, they acquired A319s from U.S. Airways. They also acquired A319s from even older airlines including America West.

Historical Importance of the A319

A good example of this is. In October of 1998 it was delivered brand new to America West.
Then in September of 2005 it was handed off to U.S.
In the end, because of the merger in 2013. The aircraft is now with American Airlines.

Overall the A319 has a long and important history in American Airlines fleet and I believe it would be a great addition to IF! It will increase realism in the simulator, expanding the details in the simulator as well.

I’m no doubt voting for this. I would fly this a lot for routes like DCA-LGA-BOS

I’m out of votes…kinda wished everybody had more. This will go to my list of things to vote for when I get some cleared up. Don’t forget to vote for your own topic (if you’re not like me and can actually vote for stuff still)

Yes!!

Parked at MIA in an AA A319 (with rakelets) next to an A321neo.

Flying over the beautiful Southeast with those beautiful rakelets.

We need this in the game guys. Drop a vote if you can

It’s gonna take me a while to find, but one time AA sent a non-sharklet a319 to Jackson for a revenue flight to DFW because the original aircraft (which had sharklet) was on a severe mechanical that ended up taking a week to fix

Note if i find the photo, I’ll edit this message :upside_down_face:
