the practice and written exams doesnāt mean anything imo, i got 90+ on my written but still failed my practical, itās about the hands on experience
Iām operating everyday on the training server. Itās kinda hard because there is a lot of pilots that doesnāt or canāt fly professionally but yeah. I always operate in London. Been watching some tutorials, ATC gameplay and more. I think the practical test should be similar to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6vvTq2yxuk
If it is, I should be good. But alright then, I guess Iām not cooking. I will be more happy if I pass the practical.
The test is very similar to that. Ensure you have deep knowledge in the manual as well as procedures/events. Donāt overly rely on the practice tests and ask you recruiter for help when you have questions. Good work.
Iām doing everything I can after I passed the exam but had to do it again due to an error and failed. Iām asking questions, reading the manual watching tutorials. I really really wanna become an operator!
Just keep practicing the tests, make sure you smash the test next time u take it.
Whyļ¼doesnāt mean anythingļ¼Maybeā¦but I thinkā¦
Obtaining IFATC identity at the expert server controlled airport is the goal of IFATC recruitment, with the ultimate goal of enabling trainees to fully perform control work, rather than having a ātitleāļ¼
I donāt object to being proud to become an IFATC, especially for people from non English speaking countries
When you meet the requirements, you can apply for training. The pilots who come to participate in the training are all IFATC, which will be very helpful for you!

Except they do because you apply the theory into practice. Everything you learn studying for the written, you apply that knowledge into your session. Sure there are things that can only be achieved through hands on experience but for the most part this is the case imo.
@Itszvinyy Great work so far, wish to see you in green in the near future!. Know the manual inside out and try to apply everything you learn into your sessions on the TS, such as Pattern Entry, Sequence, Clearance routine. Get into the habits now so itās easier in the long run. You can even open a tracking thread where people can spawn into your airport and provide feedback - see below.
But thatās the practice test, I will post my written exam next Friday when Iām able to take it. Still, thanks!
Well done! Keep practicing! Iām also applying for IFATC so hope to see you on the team soon :)
Lucky, Iām so nervous to take mine š„ŗ
Me too, happy for it! Wish you good luck
