Altitude Question

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone!
I am still having trouble understanding the East and West altitudes. I have been told That going Eastbound is your at an Evan Number FL . Ex. FL340, and going Westbound is the Odd ex. FL330.
Please some explain this
Please be nice and respectful in your responses

I think you have them just a tad mixed up. When you’re heading east (heading 360-179), you want to be at an odd cruising altitude, and when you’re heading west (180-359), you want to be at an even cruising altitude.

Thank u @Thunderbolt

Additionally, the reason for this is so the minimum separation of 1000 ft can be meet.

Adding on @Zachary_Naponic’s comment, Rdr controllers have less problems if we understand this thing @SWA1997
