About Alliance Air
Alliance Air (formerly known as Air India regional) is an Indian and a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India. It was founded in 1996 and mainly operates domestic routes as part of the government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme. In 2007, when Indian Airlines was merged with Air India, it became the regional arm of Air India operating under a new identity as Air India Regional. In March 2017, the airline was again renamed Alliance Air. The airline operates from its hubs like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru to regional airports that cannot handle jet aircrafts.
Why do we need this
Right now IF has only one twin turboprop aircraft that is Dash8, which is not used by many airlines in India, ATR is more popular among airlines in India and is operated by Air India, Indigo, Jet Airways and Trujet. This livery will be a perfect addition to explore regional destinations of Air India where a jet powered cannot land. The livery of Alliance Air is based on the retro livery of Air India and will be a perfect addition to retro liveries in IF. Like all Air India liveries, its colour is Ivory and not white.
If you like this livery don’t forget to vote for it.
