All-female crew on Air India

Women pilots and cabin crew will be operating Airbus family aircraft as well as Dreamliners to over 40 domestic destinations and back to commemorate the occasion of International Women’s Day 2019.

Air India’s record of plying all-women crew flight dates back to 1985 when the national carrier operated the world’s first all-women crew flight from Kolkata to Silchar. In 2016, the airline had a total workforce of 27,500 people, of which was 3,800 were women and 20,500 of them, regular.
