Lukla? Are you sure you can control there?

I’d choose airports that accept any type of aircraft and allow pattern work

I’ll throw some thing at you, that is not supposed to be done, but I will try

Lukla cannot handle standard pattern work. I suggest you choose another airport.

I suggest to you airports like KAUS , KIND , KCVG airports that have parallel runways that make pattern work easy, and not busy as in KLAX where it can get pretty chaotic .

I’ll stop by.

Ok thanks for stopping by

Also Low visibility USE! APPR

I’ll stop by for a bit.

Crashed, whoopsies.

Anyway, feedback:

  • Incorrect transition altitude. Should be 2500ft AAL + round to the next 500.

  • Pattern entry instruction required for inbounds, a clearance was given straight away.

  • Wrong TG clearance given, cleared for the option required with traffic pattern. I wouldnt have been able to do pattern work anyway.

  • Keep in mind what runways are feasible for me to land on. I was right above 18C which you cleared me for, which caused me an arbitrary path to land. A landing st 18R, 18L or 27 would have been fine.

So what was the right patten for it

For @Nee I did 2500AGL

Let’s say a good runway was used. Let’s pick 27.

YL-TSU, enter right downwind runway 27, (sequencing if needed)

YL-TSU, number _, runway 27 cleared for the option, after the option, make ___ traffic.

After that, no pattern entry is needed unless theres a runway change, you can just sequence and clear for the next patterns.

Note the airport elevation itself. 2500 + 895 = 3395. Rounded, that would be 3500MSL. Which is how the commands are given.

Also @Nee started LUK so the runway my closest to him runway 27 so you always want it to be runway that has the best Visibility

It doesnt matter what direction they came from, it’s always a safer route to navigate them into a runway that they can enter a traffic pattern for and safely land on. That wasnt possible with 18C, because I had to dangerously maneuver myself in.
