The big news now, coming out of Alice Spring, NT, Australia. As airlines are losing profit because of the pandemic, Asia-Pacific Aircraft Storage (APAS) in Alice Springs is making the big money by storing airlines planes. Some of the most notable planes that are being kept there now are some A380s belonging to Singapore Airlines, Cebu Pacific sent several of there A321s and A330s, and Air New Zealand sent a B777 to Alice Springs.
Alice Springs is now scrambling to expand. Soon it will have a new 350,000 square meter and will handle 200 planes instead of the old 100 planes.
