Alaska MAX 9 Trip Report SEA-MIA

Hello IFC! Thanksgiving break came early for me because as of today I’m in Miami! I flew in this morning on a redeye Alaska MAX 9 flight from KSEA, AS165. I won’t be showing the 27 minute flight that I took to Seattle from Portland just because it’s so quick. Please enjoy the photos!

I was seated in 20A for this 5 hour trip across the country ✈️

As boarding completed, we taxied out to the runway. Me and my mom lucked out by having an empty seat in our row! 🙃

Till next time Seattle!

At cruise, captain never told us how high though…

After we reached cruise a quick service began, a had some pretzels and a sprite. After I tried my best to get some rest, only about two hours though. Waking up to this sunrise was awesome! 🤩

Descending over gator land 🐊

Downwind on runway 12 at MIA

Welcome to MIA! The local time is 7:26AM. This was one of the more firm landings I’ve had.

Parked at the gate next to an American 787-8 who just flew overnight from LAX and headed back out later. 🌆

Thanks for reading! My cruise starts tomorrow and I’ll be flying home in just a short 10 days ✈️

Nice trip report and welcome to the 305! 🏝️😎

While your here, try taking a walk around the area and admire the sights around Brickell and Downtown they are really nice especially at night along the Miami River. If you feel like it, head out to Miami Beach and go experience it although I don’t think it’s worth it in my opinion.

I wanted to go downtown today, but my family was just too tired to do so

Great trip report! I love the MAX.

Per FlightRadar24, you went up to FL330, climbed to FL350, then went back down to FL330, then BACK to FL350 and finally descended into Miami.

Yeah my hotel is literally just north of the airport (across the street)

Oh no wonder why they don’t wanna go out.

There’s a airplane store on the north side but you sadly probably won’t be able to go since its closed and it opens at 10:00am and its like 30 minutes from the port with traffic so it isn’t ideal, btw what ship is it?

Have Fun! I’ve heard some pretty wild things about Carnival (not in a bad way)

great report and welcome to the East Coast! I love the MAX 9 wrinkles on the winglet paint, I had it on my United continental flight on a max 9 from YVR-EWR, but that has stopped. Now air Canada does that route

Nice! It seems like the red-eye is a recent development for Alaska as it’s always been a morning departure/late arrival from Seattle as AS305
