Alaska and Virgin America merge

Alaska released today that they will be merging with virgin america to become the west coasts premier airline. Makes no sense to me and I wish JetBlue got the deal but… Oh well. Thoughts?

You’re not alone. Then again, JetBlue has around 200 A320s already (I think), with more on order.

What I find weird is that most of Alaskan’s flights aren’t in Alaska.

And as a slight twist there are rumours of Virgin Australia being bought by Cathay Pacific. In someways that makes more sense as will open up the Australian and USWC to Cathay Pacfic, however think this is more of a rumour at this stage then any hard facts!
