Alaska Airlines Leaks Cincinnati Airport's "Mystery Airline" Announcement

Tomorrow, Cincinnati Airport will be having a “mystery airline announcement”.

Not Anymore.

The “mystery airline” is Alaska Airlines which will launch a daily nonstop service from Seattle-Tacoma to Cincinnati beginning August 18, 2020, on the 737-800.

Thanks to Alaska Airlines deciding to already load the flight in its system before Cincinnati Airport’s announcement, they leaked it

An Attack On Delta Air Lines:

Just last Saturday, Delta added two new routes from Seattle: Delta Defends Against AA/AS - Adds New Seattle to Dallas/Ft. Worth Route in addition to Seattle to Columbus.

Both of these routes are currently served by Alaska Airlines.

Currently, Delta has a focus city in Cincinnati with year-round flights to Seattle, meaning they’ll compete with Alaska Airlines’ new flight.

With Alaska launching a direct flight from its hub to a Delta focus city, this is likely in retaliation to Delta launching Seattle to Dallas/Fort Worth and Columbus.

Not sure if anyone here’s from Cincinnati, but congrats on the new airline.

Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

Jk, lol. This is cool. Another Alaska route to fly! Seems like all airlines are fighting about KSEA, lol.

Hmm, CVG has been having a terrible time as Delta began leaving. Alaska coming in with a pretty smart move!

And here’s the official announcement

Cheeky move by Alaska Air.

I agree, Alaska saw the opportunity and took it. Hope it works out well for them!

And Alaska has closed reservation for the route.
