Alaska Airlines launches 4 new routes!

Alaska Airlines has recently announced some new routes. 2 of them being very long and somewhat questionable.

1. Seattle (SEA) to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS)
2. Los Angeles (LAX) to Nassau, Bahamas (NAS)
3. Las Vegas (LAS) to Los Cabos (SJD)
4. Las Vegas (LAS) to Puerto Vallarta (PVR)

Personally I think Seattle to Nassau is crazy lol. That is too long on a 737. Not sure if it is a MAX either, I went to go and pretend as if I was gonna book a flight and the flight time said 5hrs 15mins, and the aircraft is on the generic 737. Hopefully it will operate on the MAX or even the NEO. But as of right now not too sure. Here is a link to the Instagram page where it was announced:Alaska Airlines on Instagram: "🗣️ The Caribbean is calling! Pack your bags (and 👙)...we're going to THE BAHAMAS! Make a tropical escape with ✨ new ✨ nonstops from Seattle and LA to Nassau, Bahamas taking off in December. Plus, we're adding more ways to get to Mexico with new nonstops from Las Vegas to Cabo San Lucas & Puerto Vallarta. Turquoise waters await with intro fares from just $139 one way through 6/29. Let's go! ✈️"

Here are all the starting dates:
Nassau: Seattle & Los Angeles, both begin December 14th, 2023 (Source:Lynden Pindling International Airport - Wikipedia)
Las Vegas: Los Cabos & Puerto Vallarta, both begin December 15th, 2023 (Source:Harry Reid International Airport - Wikipedia)

What are your guys opinions on this? Do you think they will be popular routes? They are all seasonal though too.

I think it will be interesting to see how the Seattle to Nassau flights go. They’ll have to do some sort of advertising, because it’s not the first place most west coasters think of as a vacation destination.
