The MAX 8-200 sits well with Akasa’s low-cost business model. A specially-configured high-density variant of the 737 MAX 8, the type is already in use with Ryanair.
It can seat several more passengers than a traditional MAX 8. For instance, Max 200s can accommodate 197 passengers as opposed to around 175 on a regular MAX 8. With 20% better fuel efficiency per seat compared to many of its rivals, the 200 provides a 5% reduction in operating compared to the MAX 8.
