In my opinion the best approach has the Island Funchal (LPMA) because of the stunning View to the ocean and to the Island :)
YAYE because you can decide to fly a approach over uluru
Paro (VQPR), descending while looking at the Himalayas, it looks stunning. Also, doing fully visual approach has its magic :)
I’d say Skardu (OPSD) mainly because of its difficulty and looks. It is in a somewhat-isolated valley and requires a couple circling approaches just to get low enough to land while avoiding mountains. The biggest aircraft that can go here is the A320. In my opinion, it keeps you entertained.
Bella Coola, British Columbia (CYBD) Beautiful approach through a narrow valley!!
The country that I’m currently in has it. Although I’m not on the mainland. The best approach has to be Toncontin, no changing my mind
Best approach? Hmmm…
Zurich! Wait no…
Gibraltar is pretty nice too.
But wait… there’s Skiathos!
I don’t know. There’s too many to choose from.
Agreeing United403 noises
Casually thinks Jackson Hole is the best while typing that
Any mountain airport in my opinion such as KEGE.
KJAC, KEGE, KASE, KTEX, PAJN, OPSD, OPGT, VEPY, VNLK, LOWI, LIPB, SCEL, MHTG, MGGT, MMMX, SKBO, SEQM, VQPR, NZQN, CYCG, CYBD, SAWC, SAWH…take your pick. And there are many more - this list is by no means exhaustive!
Gotta love the KLGA expressway visual!
Any approach into KSLC is so beautiful, my favourite has to be coming from the north off a transatlantic flight bc you get Bear Lake and the entire Wasatch Range, absolutely stunning
SFO, nothing beating those parallels landings on 28L/R while 2 others race down the 1’s for takeoff
If you’re looking for something difficult, paro
A bit easier, Gibraltar
Easy, Innsbruck
Gibraltar has such an nice approach:)
Definitely KaiTak (VHHX) 💀
SAWH the lake and scenery is stunning
Potomac approach into DCA.
Potomac is my favorite too. probably helps that i’ve seen it irl
This is a tough question but I’ve got to go with RWY 14 at Nassau
