I was flying into OMDB a few minutes ago, and the airport wasn’t loading. Eventually, it loaded about 10 nm to the runway. And then I changed views. The airport unloaded itself and took a couple minutes to load back. As I was taxiing into the gate, I switched to cockpit view to see the little thing that guides you into the gate. The first few cameras I went through the airport stayed loaded, but when I got to cockpit view the airport disappeared again. I thought I’d wait a couple minutes and then move all the way into the gate, but 20 or so seconds later Infinite Flight crashed.
The airports taking a while to load happens maybe 25-50% of flights, and the view change unloading airport happens at least half of flights, but only 25% of the time it happens on the ground as well.
I have cleared my scenery cache many times, and have tried restarting my device. Is anyone else having this problem?
EDIT: This is the first time it’s resulted in a crash.
My iPad is wifi only, but I can indirectly connect my iPad to a cellular network using my phone’s built in WiFi “generator”. Are you wondering if it has to do with an unstable connection?
It can happen at any airport, but it’s happened more often at busy airports.
I mean, if it’s not a scenery cache issue, not a storage issue, the only other thing that comes to mind is a network issue…
My best suggestion would be to try a different network (cellular) and see how it goes. Taking I haven’t experienced this at all myself or haven’t heard anyone else experience it.
