The inspiration of this feature comes from Flightradar24.com.
When you click into an airport on Flightradar24.com, it shows the detail of the airport and A PICTURE OF THE AIRPORT. This function allow players to preview the 3D sceneries and surrounding environments of main and unpopular airports.
The sources of the picture can be from a new community image contribution system, similar the one on Jetphotos.com.

Hello, I believe this feature was actually in place a long time ago when IF was just starting and there were only a few featured airports (at least in solo mode,) but was removed when IF got its major scenery update and new airports were added. I agree it would be nice to have it back and would make a good last touch to current 3D airports, and those that are in development. Especially for those who are trying out a new airport and want a glimpse of what it’s like. Great suggestion!
