I’ve been wanting to make this topic for a while now, but I haven’t seen any changes. I came here to make a small complaint. I think it’s absurd that editors pay to edit airports. At least editors should have free access to edit airports. It doesn’t make any sense to pay to edit. Sometimes editors don’t even have time to fly. I think it’s fair to have access to editing without Infinite Flight Pro.
In my opinion, editors should still have to pay. After all, they voluntarily do this. They do it for fun, and to help IF grow. They don’t work for IF, they just help IF.
I’m glad you said “Help” it’s not always that everyone has money to pay sometimes we’re in the middle of editing there’s no money there’s no editing sometimes until some money appears the inspiration goes away along with the infinite flight pro
Airport editing effectively requires access to airports globally - i.e. needing a Pro subscription. The free version of Infinite Flight is essentially a free trial of the app, with the majority of the app locked behind the subscription. Free users should not be given that much access.
If anything it would make the length of time to get in even longer - and its long enough already with applications and acceptances currently paused.
In the end IF is a company that needs to make money out of the customers. And editors are customers also.
Even though I get the sentiment here, this isn’t about getting money from editors.
The system is simply built in a way that the access to certain elements of the app such as all airports, aircraft etc is based on the subscription.
It’s the same reason why some replays won’t work if they were recorded with a subscription and you no longer have one.
They are businessmen. Their goal is to build IFATC and airport editing system to keep users subscribed to pro.
