Airport details not loading

Device: iPad Air 5th generation
Operating system: iPadOS 26.4.2

Not sure if this is a glitch, but details such as building textures and GSE (including jetbridges) don’t load until I’m quite close to them. Previously, anything which I could see would load, even if it was a mile away. However now, if I’m taxiing down a long taxiway, GSE isn’t visible. I can see why this could be done on purpose for performance reasons etc, but it does kind of ruin the immersion, if I can see things actively disappear and reappear.

Let me know if this is a bug or if it is (as I suspect) done on purpose, and any settings I could change to resolve it!

Wouldn’t surprise me if this was the case, I think it’s to aid your device into performing better and reduce crashing due to RAM running out.

Try to clear your Cache: Settings → General → scroll all way down → click “clear cache”

This was my first idea as well, sadly didn’t work

It’s got 8GB RAM which should be plenty, and the bug still happens at the start of flights, so I don’t think this is the case

I had problems with this before. I would recommend checking your storage.

It appears the game crashed during the loading process due to a large number of 3D objects in airports such as Amsterdam, JFK, and Frankfurt. It is recommended to change the rendering loading quality to Low.

This cannot be resolved simply by clearing the cache. Lowering the traffic volume is also a good solution.
