Airplane doing circles and not following FPL

I was going to put it in support but I didn’t feel like this suited it. (Don’t have a photo) but sometimes when I takeoff on the wrong runway then what I put in in the FPL, the plane just goes over my first waypoint and starts circling it, (5-10 times) before following the FPL. prob a stupid question but is there any reason for that?

Maybe because the waypoints are too close to each other

Sometimes when you’re going pretty fast you can’t really maneuver that fast in time so the autopilot will just keep circling around it until it follows the flight plan you have in a straight line

Hopefully I explained it correctly

It sounds like your aircraft might be trying to correct its course after taking off from the wrong runway. When the plane is not aligned with your flight plan, it might try to reposition itself by circling the waypoint until it gets back on track. Double-checking your runway and initial heading could help prevent this. If it keeps happening, reviewing your flight plan entry and settings might be a good idea!
