About Destination Saturdays
The Story
Back in July 2017, we set sail from the City of Lights on a tour around the globe with one goal: To finish what Amelia Earhart Started. Two years, 30 legs, and 10,000+ miles later, we’ve traversed some of the world’s most iconic destinations, beautiful landscapes, and challenging approaches from Europe to the Middle East, Oceania, then the Far East.
NOW, the journey continues!
The fourth season of our flagship Destination Saturdays event series will take Infinite Flight’s most adventurous airmen across the Americas to 17 of dangerous and iconic airports. From the snow-capped mountains of Juneau, Alaska down to Rio de Janeiro, and then back up to the Big Apple, harrowing approaches and beautiful views await along the way!

Airport Information
SPZO
Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (SPZO) is an international airport located in the city of Cusco, in southeastern Peru. Cusco, a principal tourist attraction in Latin America, receives various domestic flights as well as some international flights. The runway is completely paved. It operates at limited capacity due to its precarious location near the city’s center. Despite these limitations, the airport has consistently ranked as Peru’s second most important air terminal, handling 3,209,153 national and international passengers in 2016, as reported by CORPAC.
SCEL
Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCEL) also known as Santiago International Airport and Nuevo Pudahuel Airport, located in Pudahuel, 15 km north-west of downtown Santiago, is Chile’s largest aviation facility and the busiest international airport in the country.
Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport has domestic and international services to destinations in Europe, Oceania, Asia and the Americas. In 2011 it was the ninth busiest airport in Latin America and the sixth busiest in South America by passenger traffic. It was the seventh busiest airport in Latin America by aircraft movements, serving 124,799 operations. Its location in Chile’s most populated area, as well as in the central part of the country makes of it an ideal main hub and maintenance center for most local airlines such as LATAM and Sky Airline. LATAM Airlines accounts for approximately 82% of the airport’s total commercial operations.
