Aircraft Wifi Pods Original Request Updated

This would be a cool feature

I think the term your looking for is SATCOM

Interesting request. This is a part of the airplane I completely overlooked. I think it’ll bring a bit of character to the model in all honesty.

Though, I think it’ll be quite complicated because not all airlines are equipped with these pods. That means, a slightly different model would have to be applied to the airlines with them. I’m not a coder but I imagine that’ll be quite difficult to shuffle two separate livery models around – one podded, one podless.

If it is simple to add, I support it. Otherwise, it’s best to keep the standard non-pod model. Consistency is always good.

And some even have one rear SATCOM or one Front SATCOM or Both Front and Rear SATCOMS

Imagine it provided wifi when your in the air 🤔🤔🤔

Technically this is confirmed on the A350! Atleast the Airfrance livery, just teased on IF’s social media:

They need to add the satcom onto other planes. Depending on registration the satcom will look different.

Heh what is a 797?

Probably a upcoming new airplane. So far I know it is not decided yet if they will continue but 797 is definitively a concept.
Think Boeing has other things to focus on currently…

Well from what I can tell the 787 is meant to replace the 767 and the 797 is meant to replace the 757… so one can only infer that the cockpits of both will be the same as each other like the 757 and 767

Also I’m out of votes but you still “have” my vote

oh yea this would be cool

Bumping this, we need!!! Been a while…

I think this is an awesome idea! :)

Would like to see these on added to current aircraft, an example is the BBJ 3 Reg HZ-ATR

Got one of my votes 🗳️

Another Example of where this could be added to existing aircraft liveries.
