Why are feature requests like this not closed since its confirmed/coming in the new graphics engine?
Well how far away is thatâŚ? Most IFS users wonât be aware of that.
They will probably close the topic closer to the release. However considering itâs not closed yet indicates thereâs still work going in to it.
I find that light level, the game is âlateâ (without being mean of course).
Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful on the game but at night we donât see much.
If the developers added:
-A reflection of the light on the floor (landing light, strobes, beacon etc etc)
-The lights produced by the airport itself (lampposts, terminals, roads) [runway and taxiways lights are already well made]
-Cities that produce light with night lighting (no need for the city to be in 3D for that)
What do you think? These are the main points that came to me, do you think they lack points?

In the old version of infinite flight, the beacon and strobe lights would illuminate on the ground, I do miss that feature though

reflection and airport lighting etc is expected to be added hopefully when project metal or the new graphics engine comes alive. However when it comes to something like city or country lights, in a mobile flight simulator its almost impossible to make it high quality yet good performance wise. However the infinite flight team is locked and loaded, just waiting for the day they start announcing or showing some WIPs of the cool lighting stuff :]
Which we might see something even this year in 2024, still some more time left meaning there is still something left to come other than the 737MAX8 being worked on right now ;)

Why do people think âRIP my deviceâ or âMy device is gonna explodeâ for things like that? Sure some older models may not handle them but things like clouds and graphics are coming, and they will be optimized unlike other sims (cough cough). So I donât see why things like city lights canât come if they will be properly optimized
Okay yeah if they manage to optimize it then of course, we would all be happy to see the feature come. It wasnât like I would shooting it down saying that it wasnât coming. Calm down đđ
