When crosswind occurs, the plane slides on the runway because we fight against the wind Look at the Dash, 1m58s
It would more realistic and easy to land and taking off when the plane slides on the runway instead going WTF, wing hit ground then plane crash.
If you dont get what i am talking about, look at this video.
This is very true for most aircrafts in infinite flight. The crosswind landings are not well replicated in the game. You have to straight with the runway before touchdown otherwise it ends up into a wheelie with a wing slap to the runway
Bumping this thread. We need more tire slide when landing with crosswing, I think this will help control the aircraft more. I was practicing crosswind landings the other day with different aircrafts with 30kts winds, and the problem I see is that when the main tires touch the runway they dont slide, they just grip. So that along with the not so responsive rudder on some airplanes, it make it difficult. Some said we already have this but I play on solo alot and watch replays alot, and the aircrafts dont slide, they just turn left and right like a car.
That would be cool and more realistic. But landings will be harder and we wonβt be able to controle the plane easily on the ground. People who plane xplane will know, the plane sliding around makes it impossible to taxi π€π
