Airbus flaps

What is 1+F? Because 1 is like the lowest setting but F is the highest

1 is slats, while 1+F is slats plus flaps (if I remember correctly)

On that link, user “VC-10” summed it up nicely:

Airbus Flaps

Flaps +1 means 18 degs of slat + 10 degs of flap.

The full range is :-

  1. ECAM indication - Blank = 0 + 0 Slat 0 Flap

  2. ECAM Ind - 1 = 18 deg Slat + 0 Flap

  3. ECAM Ind - 1 + F = 18 Slat + 10 Flap

  4. ECAM Ind - 2 = 22 Slat + 14 Flap

  5. ECAM Ind - 3 = 22 Slat + 21 Flap

  6. ECAM Ind - Full = 27 Slat + 25 Flap

(1) - Cruise

(1 & 2) - Hold settings

(3, 4 & 5) - T.O. setting

(5 & 6) - Landing Range

The Airbus has 4 Stages of Flap. 1, 2, 3, F

On the ground with the weight on wheel switch active, the selection of Flap 1 gives you Slats and Flaps hence “1+F”

However in the air with the selection of Flap 1 all you will get is Slats.

Hope that clarify’s any other Airbus question let me know :)

yeah, well they should do that infinite flight makes flaps 1, but real flaps 1
