From the late 1990s through about 2008 or so, Air Canada operated a fleet of 13 A340-300s, in addition to two slightly larger A340-500s, which only stayed around for a couple of years before being replaced by the 777-200LR. The A340-300s were replaced by the 777-300ER, ending the quadjet era at Air Canada.
