Eh not really, the a300 was built to replace the 707/727 primarily and offered a better fuel burn/efficiency on those short haul routes by providing a large seating capacity, whereas the 767 had nearly double the range and was more suited to fly low demand, long-range routes.

Maybe, but check out the similarities in looks!

Ngl I don’t see any similarities. They are completely different aircraft made for a similar market. There are specific airlines for the 767, and there are specific airlines for the A300. I believe that the A300 and A310 would be a game changer in IF. People who like older aircraft (like me) will flock to the game more if more of these type of aircraft are available.

You are comparing two completely different aircraft and airframes. I see no similarities whatsoever.

Also, may I inform you that the A300 was introduced into commercial flying before the 767. I don’t see how the A300 could be “copied” from the 767 thus the similarities you see if it was released earlier. It is not possible for it to be “airbus’s” version of the 767. In fact, I would say that the 767 was Boeing’s version of the A300. Please make sure to read up!

Now this is an aircraft with such history, that I’m honestly surprised it isn’t in IF yet.

It wasn’t just boeings version of the a300, but rather a series of designs influenced by customers who wanted a long-range, low payload compliment to the 747 and large airframes of the time. This was mainly influenced by rising fuel costs and operating costs being the main priority in new planes rather than capacity and range.

I know, I didn’t actually mean it. It was a joke/ironic because he said that Airbus copied the 767 even though airbus made the A300 first.

This immediately has my vote, mainly because IF needs some more retro/classic aircrafts as these will go well with the DC-10 and MD-11 thats already in the IF fleet.

This historical aircraft needs attention!

I love to see the A300-600R in the current Thai Airways livery.
Sadly, this aircraft, registered as HS-TAZ, was finally retired on 31 July 2014.
Thai Airways was the last A300 operator in Asia.
Here’s the picture of the last Thai Airways A300-600 flight in 2014:
