Airbus has begun working with the Chinese Aviation Authority to certify the A220. The process is on its way and should be completed next year. Airbus has already asked around in China for potential interest and has received lots of interest from loads of different airlines. It’s not clear as of now how and if the political tensions between Canada and China, which are one of the reasons why the A220 isn’t yet certified in China, will affect the certification process.
This means that we could see A220 routes to China in one years time!
Air Tanzania has reintroduced the link between Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya after a 20-year hiatus and will operate the route twice daily with the A220-300.
Soon new routes will be available when Ukraine follows up on their brand new MoU for 6 A220s and more to establish a new flag carrier, called Ukrainian National Airlines, in order to rival sanctioned Ukraine International.
@anon36354988 asked me to make a summary of all the routes that we have posted but that haven’t been added yet, so @parson can just copy-paste them in hopefully.

Because the A220-300 will be used to partially replace the A319/321 of Air Senegal as well, the routes those aircraft currently operate on will most likely also be flown by the A220. Therefore, here a little addition to the Air Senegal Database:

Please also change EGLL to EGSS in the Air Senegal segment, as Air Senegal plans to fly to Stansted and not Heathrow.
@Tsumia Since you love the A220 and that you are THE regular , would be able to add the missing last routes pls, I’m sure nothing will be added even after release at this point, we begging 😭
Oh ok , sorry I wasn’t aware that it was impossible
And people , pls check above if routes aren’t added already by someone else so we avoid double things.
I know they aren’t in the table but yeah, there’s nothing we can do about that…
It’s like the 3rd time that some air canada routes are posted lol
