The Airbus A220, formerly known as Bombardier CSeries, is a family of twin-engine aircraft developed by Bombardier, and later acquired by Airbus. These are narrow-body regional jets, comprising of the A220-100, which was formerly known as CS100, and the A220-300, which was formerly known as CS300.

BAE Systems held 20% of the group’s shares until 2006, when it sold its stake to EADS. The company created many well known commercial aircraft, such as the A320 and A330 families.

No it isn’t. In fact, Airbus has decided to drop the A320neo in favor of the A225. They will develop it and won’t protect the A320neo against the A220 anymore. Development of the A225 will commence after the production increase is complete.
