Air Transat Suspends All Operations Until May

Air Transat, a Canadian low cost carrier has suspended all operations until May. The story is not been reported by major news sources yet, however they have made a tree in the last hour saying that they will be suspending their operations. They say

“For our customers currently at destination whose return flights were scheduled during this period, please rest assured that we’re working on a repatriation plan, the details of which will be posted shortly on our platforms.”

This is a really sad announcement to hear, and I am interested to see where the story may take them.

April 30. So basically May.

Fair enough.

Regardless, it’s always sad to see an airline cease operations, whether that be permanently, indefinitely, or for a set amount of time. Hoping they bounce back!

Awesome, now we won’t have to worry about them crashing their planes at Newark. @Z-Tube

But seriously, this stinks. It’s always devastating to see airlines shut down, even if it’s just for a few months. :\

Don’t forget, that flight was heading to Fort Lauderdale…

Not really a crash. More of an emergency landing
