No, it’s not.
There are a few differences. In the pics you can see that the US West coast is almost empty while Europe is packed. In 12 hours it will be the opposite.

Yes,in west coast now is night but europe is always +- like now

I Could see so many traffic around Singapore and Bangkok on the north btw ;)
And on the southeast, you could see so many traffic around Surabaya’s Juanda Int’l Airport and on the south of Singapore, you could also see many traffic around Bangka-Belitung Islands which dominated by Jakarta-Singapore or Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur planes (Based on those directions)

All on the first picture

That’s a great video. Look at those lonely dots down the bottom going from South America to South Africa and Australia.
And the Transatlantic swarm going from North America to Europe is quite a sight.

Thank you for sharing :)

If this was taken within the past 2 hours, I would be in the swarm around Europe :D

It’s quite funny to see all the planes crossing the Atlantic over to the US huddling in the same line.

Most likely trying to catch the trade jet stream to give them a little boost and save their fuel as much as possible.

Welcome to the world of business and economics where money is where all the focus is at

Welcome to the world where co-operations are expanding fleets building new airports, extending runways and making flights cheaper.

Yet we only have around 40-50 years of oil left.

Makes you wonder what’s going to happen with planes in that time…

Yeah most of the time, but the U.K. flights stop after 11.30pm (22:30Z) until 6:00am (05:00Z) due to a night curfew (with the exception of occasional landings).

@SingaporeAirlines nice video! Ive seen that one before but it’s a nice watch.

There goes our oil supply…

yep, but we should figure something out so save oil supply. people already made a lot more efficient engine

Or maybe, they should use “Biogas” instead as an alternative to replace the present jet fuel

Yeah, the world’s air traffic must be very crowded in next 20 years. Air Travel is currently growing very fast especially when Low Cost Carriers estabilished

it would be really complicated to use Biogas as gas take up more space than liquid. Jet engine will have to change if we use Biogas and even if it is possible to repace the jet fuel with Biogas, we’re still a long way away from reaching it as not many people using Biogas
