Recently, the Mozambican governemt, majoriy owner of the flag carrier LAM - Linhas Aéreas Moçambique introduced sweeping changes to the state run airline after years of mismanagement and … one such change was to modernise the Airline’s fleet by withdrawing thr old -500s and -700s and introducing newer, more efficient airctaft.
One such aircraft is a 2nd hand Embrear E190, aquired from KLM Cityhopper to serve as the backbone of the new LAM.

Air Mozambique (LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique) is the flag carrier of Mozambique, based at Maputo International Airport (FQMA), with a secondary hub at Beira InternationalAirport (FQ).
Recently, as part of a restructuring plan, which includes modernising the fleet and improving connectivity, LAM introduced a refreshed, modern livery featuring the iconic national colors under the new “Air Mozambique” branding.
About C9-AMA
The aircraft, originally registered PH-EZA, was deliveredvfrom the factory to KLM in December of 2008. It would later serve the Cityhopper division until Sept 2025, when it was withdrawn from the fleet and ferried to Maastricht, where it would eventually find its way to LAM and enter into service in August under the new livery and branding.

Since all major airports in Mozambique are 3d (courtesy of @Aviator_MoinYT) it would be fitting for short domestic hops to Beira or Nampula, or short International hops to Johannesburg or Dar-es-Salaam
