So for the first time An airplane flying to Israel passes over Saudi Arabia
Air India received approval After several years A week ago El Al also requested permission to fly Above Saudi Arabia Flight from India to Tel Aviv via Saudi Arabia Faster at an hour

Is this just me, or would it be more logical to fly North to Turkey, avoiding Iraq and Syria, then fly over Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan?

Might still be more politics involved in that than I realize but it sounds more efficient.
