Air France B777 painted green by activists

Warning: This topic is not made to debate about ecology, only information about the world of aviation.

This morning at 9:00 am, nine French activists entered on the ramp of Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to carry out a remarkable action on a long-haul aircraft that has been grounded for 11 months because of the Covid-19 crisis.

With the necessary equipment, the activities began to paint the fuselage of a Boeing 777 of the Air France company under the call sign of “F-GSPB”, on the other side, others are mounted to deploy large banners where it is inscribed :

“Is there a pilot to save the climate?”.

or even

“The Solution: Fewer planes”

An impressive video and photos were taken at that time

Meanwhile, on tweeter, the company shared a video that prompted a reaction from the Minister of Transport Jean-Baptiste Djebbari:

As we can see, Greenspeace France is coming out with this sentence:

“Something is brewing here”

Which causes the Minister to react immediately with :

“Criminal prosecution?”

Accusing the government of greenwashing environmental issues about air traffic, the plane was painted green to make the place compatible with the climate crisis.

“This climate and resilience bill is an empty shell” according to Sarah Fayolle, in charge of the transport campaign at Greenpeace France.

The government says it is going to close short-haul lines doing less than 2h30, but behind this message, there are only five airlines that would be affected by this on a hundred other lines.

Immediately afterwards, the Gendarme (French Police) air transport arrived en masse to arrest the individuals.

Some of them who were on the fuselage of the 777 refused to comply with the Gendarmerie and refused to get off.

What are you doing to the beloved 777??? You silly activists!! Go away, I want you to step away from Aviation and France forever!!!

Where is the world going to get? Well deserved jail. Aviation has made HUGE improvements over its existence. Compare this efficient 777 with, say a 707 or a Concorde for example before saying something.

This is vandalism. The French Police was right to arrest them.

So this is what happens when Misha posts a different looking AF A380 in the FNF, huh?

Or maybe someone wanted to put the Skyteam AF 77W back into IF…let’s own up now.

Air France should ban them forever.

Let’s stop it at that, please.

The minute we start talking about this drama, the thread explodes, and drama ensues.

Okay, but it may take AF quite a lot of time to take care of the more important problem, the 777.

t a r m a c, you say?

Also who would take time out of their day to spray paint a plane green to promote climate awareness, there’s better ways to go about that.

Especially since France is not the biggest polluter.

This is also what happens when extreme environmentalists dont get their way. But what they to get is a way to jail lol

Don’t worry, Qatar will solve its problem with A350, 787, A321neo and 777X…

Aviation isn’t the only pollutant

They better, I would wonder if Greenland is 0.0

What’s wrong with Africa?

Exactly. China, for example, factories are the largest ones.

Yes, because the world is changing, but activists just want to be known, not do good things.
