An Air Canada 767-375ER operating Madrid to Toronto has apparently lost its landing gear and one of its engines has ingested it/parts of it. Currently holding over Madrid. Operating flight AC837. As per The Straits Times and Plane Finder. Very little news about this ongoing incident as it just came inn / will update when more information is available.
Belongs here I believe. Do link us to the actual stories and add as much description as possible.

Wow. I hope everything turns out okay. They might have to retract the landing gear and pull a LOT 16 😅
(for those who don’t know what that is):
If they don’t do that, they’ll have to do this
Goodness, hope everything goes alright! Does not look good.
Livestream of Madrid Airport waiting for the landing:
Coincidentally, there were drone sightings earlier this morning at MAD.
Looks like all the wheels are there!
So what‘s the problem ? Engine fire ?
I think it might be a compressor stall judging by the image, as it does not look like a serious fire.
Anyways lets keep from speculating until more information is present :)
But what is that ?
Thats the picture I was referring to. Here’s what a compressor stall looks like:
128 Passengers onboard, or 60.6% load factor.
Would have been really easy to non rev on that flight. I hope everything turns out okay.
Pictures from inside the plane via twitter.
I hope my favourite airline stays safe! 😨
