Despite the f18 having a different refuel-system, can it still be refuelled midair by the kc10 extender? Feels sort of unrealistic as the f18 uses the other type of aerial refuelling…

I’m not quite sure what you mean - the F-18 can be refueled by the KC-10 both in Infinite Flight and real life

The F18 refuels through probe and drogue refuelling rather than the boom connecting directly to the aircraft. Perhaps a tad unrealistic, but not the end of the world
