Boeing, My late Father in Law was a Pratt Engineer. He took me on a tour of Prat Experimental out in the swamp just outside Palm Beach back in the day.
They were building and reworkig JT11D-2OA/J-58’s. Now that was a revolutionary design. Saw it in action in the Far East out of Kadena and Osan.
A Habu Launch and Recovery sticks in your memory forever! The Afterburner trail was a 1/4 mile long… That black beast looked like a Roman Landle at launch.
