Actually getting somewhere in my cadet career

Hey IFC! I come bearing exciting news (for me at least)!

As you may know, I am an air cadet. Through this program I am able to obtain both my gliders and private pilots license. Having met the specific requirements, I am extremely excited to share with you that I have officially begun training for my glider pilots license!!

For now, the only thing I can do is read my copy of From The Ground Up- a book that contains everything a pilot needs to know to pilot an aircraft or glider.

After a very short three years in the program, I have finally come to what I joined for.

I’ll hopefully be able to record this process, keeping those on the forum that are interested updated, and document it on my YouTube channel.

That’s all for now, see you soon!

Wow, I wish you the best in your journey! A lot of knowledge to learn, understand, and apply. Enjoy the process!

Amazing! What aircraft do you fly?

I’m still working towards multi engine/CFI so I don’t fly jets yet. My profile pic is a CRJ simulator I flew as part of a college class.

Oh wow! I knew sims we’re good but holy, I thought it was the real thing! You’re planning to fly the CRJs?

It really was cool to experience a glimpse of what real world part 121 operations look like in the cockpit procedural wise.
