Active runway at destination

Happy Friday Everyone!

I hope you’re all well. I have 2 questions

  1. Could someone tell me what the current active runway is in Madrid for the FNF, please?
  2. Is their a way to check the active runway (in-flight). This is so I can plan for my approach.

Thanks A Lot And Stay Safe!

You can download LiveFlight and see what runway is active. But most of the time it is the runway with the best winds.

32R and 32L for landing, 36L and 36R for takeoff. This might change because the wind just changed heading 100 at 6knts.

LiveFlight and ATIS once that is an option.

Might be easier to check liveflight and see where they’re arriving on.

Oh, ok, I’ll give liveflight a shot. I would have based it on the wind but when I lat checked, wind was calm. Anyway, thanks a lot!

That’s a good one as well. Nonetheless if it’s calm/below 10kts, other factors can come into play and checking LiveFlight/later the ATIS may lead to better results.
