¿ Activate or not activate the TRIM ? - ¿ Activar o no activar el TRIM?

Translation to English
Hello everyone. Greetings. Sometimes I take off and land with TRIM on and other times I have it off and I don’t notice, I don’t perceive any change in the behavior of the plane. What happens, what do I perceive in the behavior of my plane if I activate the TRIM? What is the difference, in my Boeing 737-800, if I have the TRIM activated or deactivated during takeoffs and landings? ?Thank you so much. 😉👍

Hola a todos. Saludos. Muchas gracias. 👍😉

Using trim essentially relieves pressure going up or down depending on whether you use positive or negative trim respectively. The more trim you use, the more impactful it would be. For example, if you are in a heavyweight aircraft, you would have to pull your device back further to be able to takeoff. But if you used positive trim, for example: 25% or likewise, then you do not need to have to pull the device back as much, etc. It is situational, but a good tool to use based on your circumstances and needs.

I use TRIM a lot. Takeoffs with the CRJ, for example, I use about 80% TRIM.

For landings it is essential. You can control the angle very easily.

I use differing amounts of trim depending on runway length. I’ll use more trim on shorter runways, to get off the runway quicker.

In a real aircraft, trim is used to adjust the angle that the elevators want to be at, so that the pilot doesn’t have to hold constant pressure back or forward on the yoke.

In IF, it basically just keeps the autopilot from having to constantly adjust the pitch in the background, and can also save a small percentage of fuel burn.
